I made a raw diet for Shadow & Licorice for most of their 15 years. Today there are so many healthy commerical dog food choices that I'm not doing the raw diet with Hana & Saba. They look wonderful on a product called Premium Edge.
I make homemade dog food for Bella... and she is a beggar .. she even says 'num num' if it is cheese or her favourite ice cream... and chats at me when I eat all the time, she doesn't get anything... however she does try...

The Tunnels End

When I close my eyes I see
A tunnel, I walk towards it
But then I stumble. Hand
Reaching out within its grasp,
Then the image fades so very fast.
Slipping from my grasp once
More like someone came
And shut the door. I long to
Reach that brilliant glow,
It calls to me but I can't go.
I want to see what's at the end
Then something brings me
Back again. I breathe in deep
Let out a sigh the moment
Seems to slither by. I sneak
Away I'll try again to reach
What's at the tunnel end!

Shuffling through the corridors
Of the mountain on the hill
Silence pierces my thoughts
With celestial lessons still
Words not heard with the ears
Teach my very confused soul
Barely covered feet dare not break
The marbled halls white noise
While all around the rainbow’s rage
Yet colors flash inside my heart
Sing dear mind sing a song of faith
Ancient Angels sing boldly along
Alleluia, their alleluias ring
Echoing claiming this marble place
Praying eyes wide shut I shuffle on
Here within these walls of silence
I wrote this while I worked at the Temple
